Painted Porch Counseling is a Philosophical Practice for helping clients uncover some of the habitual thought patterns preventing them from achieving the good life they want and discover ways to better achieve it.
Discover and consider the value of your own philosophy of life.
Avoid self-deception by developing the skills to check your own assumptions.
Uncover the inconsistencies in your thinking that may keep you spinning your wheels.
Explore a variety of philosophical mindsets to help you better cope with perennial sources of anxiety—like death, grief, change, meaning, and morality.
Cope with real-life concerns you’re dealing with right now.
Socrates said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” Philosophical Counseling puts this principle into practice for the purpose of improving your mindset and self-awareness as you cope with ordinary and extraordinary challenges preventing you from achieving your highest potential. Its Practitioners are not therapists. They are certified members of the APPA (American Philosophical Practitioners Association). Attitude, mindset, loss, unexpected changes, can easily get in the way of achieving the good life and peace of mind you seek. Philosophical Counseling can help.
